It\u2019s mandate is to\u00a0oversee the nation\u2019s open market operations (i.e. the\u00a0<strong>Fed\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0buying and selling of\u00a0<strong>United States<\/strong>\u00a0Treasury securities). This\u00a0<strong>Federal Reserve<\/strong>\u00a0committee makes key decisions about\u00a0<strong>Interest Rates<\/strong>\u00a0and the growth of the\u00a0<strong>United States<\/strong>\u00a0money supply. Interest rates are very important in currency evaluation.
